About us
Wraiths and Strays is a World of Warcraft Horde guild on the Nordrassil-EU (PVE) server The guild was formally created on Thursday, April 21, 2005. It was originally on the Silvermoon server but moved to Nordrassil in November 2008
We are a friendly, multi-national guild, run by a Council of Officers. We enjoy the challenges provided by end-game instances, while ensuring that we keep the guild atmosphere fun and casual, oh and beer – we love beer. In fact, we think it is fair to say that we love beer more than anything else in the world, including our wives, husbands, partners, children, pets, music collection or small frayed toy rabbits we have cherished since our childhood in outback Australia.
Wraiths and Strays is not a raiding guild. We are a family-oriented guild that raids. It may seem like a subtle difference but it isn’t. Our primary concern is providing an environment where all guild members can enjoy themselves, without pressure to perform or attend raids.
Most of us are out of our teens and play for fun and relaxation. We also understand if you have to go /afk for 10 minutes during a raid to put the kids to bed.
Although everyone is welcome, we encourage applications from anyone over the legal drinking age. We don’t rule out applications from younger people but find that it usually doesn’t work and wouldn’t encourage people under that age to apply in general.
Our goal is to enjoy the World of Warcraft, whatever our character level, whatever amount of time we have to spend on-line, to chat with friends and share our knowledge and skills, and to drink beer until we wet ourselves.
On the 11th of November, 2008, we decided as a guild to enhance our quality of Warcraft time by expanding the guild to Nordrassil. While most of the guild has moved, there is a small core of Wraiths & Strays members still located on Silvermoon (please keep this in mind when applying).
